USD 273 Recognized for Innovative Student Learning Partnership with Trane

USD 273 is proud to be recognized for its innovative partnership with Trane and its commitment to providing students with meaningful, real-world learning experiences.

Through this collaborative project, students have taken an active role in improving their own learning environment by installing building sensors, analyzing performance data, conducting research, and presenting their findings to the USD 273 Board of Education. Their work has contributed to improved classroom comfort, enhanced indoor air quality, and greater energy efficiency across the district.

Beyond the measurable improvements to district facilities, the project has given students valuable hands-on experience in STEM, engineering, and data analytics while strengthening critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation skills.
